VANS X VAN GOGH
Vans, the powerhouse trainer brand behind a multitude of fun collaborations, just announced its latest line-up in partnership with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. The collection features an array of clothing and trainers as the Vans x Van Gogh Museum acts as an accessible representation of the iconic artist’s works. Utilising a few of Van Gogh’s most recognisable post-impressionist works as prints, Vans has recreated miniature masterpieces and is a literal work of art.
An ode to Van Gogh, this new collaboration presents a playful twist of the artist’s vision, as both the designs and of course the names coincidentally coincide. The collection includes various prints embedded on bomber jackets, backpacks, hats and more, with the full collection currently available at Vans as well as The Van Gogh Museum shop worldwide. We can’t think of a more perfect, creative collaboration!

CALVIN KLEIN X THE KARDASHIANS
Calvin Klein also recently collaborated with the Kardashians for the brand’s new fall campaign. The campaign is the latest in the evolution of Klein’s #MyCalvins call to action series entitled « Our Family. »
Photographed by Willy Vanderperre, the siblings model styles of Calvin Klein underwear that are currently in stores and online, including Calvin Klein Modern Cotton and the new Calvin Klein Body range. In addition, some of the siblings are dressed in core styles of Calvin Klein Jeans, as well as looks from the spring 2018 Calvin Klein Jeans collection.
Supermodel Kendall Jenner even photographed the exclusive, behind the scenes moments from the shoot, whilst using her favourite Contax T2 film camera.
“I’m very observant. I take everything in when I’m on set, even things like lighting, and how to set my camera.”
As one of the youngest members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Kendall made a stunning $22 million this year and as a result of numerous campaigns and a massive social media following, has even overtaken Gisele Bundchen’s 15-year rain as the world’s highest-earning model. Her recent collaboration with Calvin also highlights that designers are now not only looking for fashion models but talent, with skills such as photography to bring that extra added value to the brand.

MADEWELL DEPARTMENT STORE IS TEAMING UP WITH SOLID & STRIPED
Solid and Striped is an iconic swimwear brand that without a doubt is a case study for this decade! This is because they are a prime example of a brand that has managed to successfully utilise the power of influencers to promote their own bespoke bikini collections. You may remember the brand from their previous campaign when they enlisted 13 major models: Lily Aldridge, Hailey Clauson, Jourdan Dunn, Hannah Ferguson, Isabeli Fontana, Toni Garrn, Jessica Hart, Elsa Hosk, Eniko Mihalik, Carolyn Murphy, Barbara Palvin, Natasha Poly and Josephine Skriver, to design and model a suit for the collection. Each model designed one silhouette in three colourways which quickly went viral on social media and was originally shot in Harbor Island in the Bahamas by Bjorn Iooss and styled by Carine Roitfeld.
Now Solid & Striped have announced they will be collaborating with Madewell department store. The brand will be able to connect with their audience on a level they can authentically relate with as they powerfully enhance their sales presence since the retailer has a predominantly millennial-focused demographic. Madewell is also an old pro at third-party swimwear, working with the likes of Mara Hoffman and Tavik in the past and has even curated a swim section that’s always a step ahead of the game. They feature the latest exclusive styles and colourways, so you can be sure to find something different and unique every season and wear the latest, supermodel-approved swimwear.
PUMA X MAC RELEASE SPECIAL LIMITED-EDITION SUEDE SHOES
This new limited collection is in honour of the 50th anniversary of the Puma Suede sneaker. These special-edition shoes even come in matching premium shoeboxes and will be available only to U.S. customers, via the Puma website and major shoe stores.
Beauty meets movement to create a style that will always move us.
The collection includes a trio of classic Suede kicks designed in the exact colourways of three of Mac’s most popular lip colours: coral-red Lady Danger, peach-beige Crème d’Nude, and deep burgundy Sin.
According to the press release, the Crème d’Nude sneaker is a « posh peachy blush » colour with coral laces and a rose-gold #PUMAxMAC logo sticker and matching rose-gold outsole, while the Lady Danger edition has a bright, red-orange suede upper with matching laces and texturized outsole. The Sin iteration of the shoe, like its cosmetic namesake, comes in a « daring burgundy » shade, which contrasts with the « satin effect » of the matching sole’s lustre.
