MVASKS: HOW OLD ARE YOU?
MVASKS: WHO IS YOUR MOTHER AGENCY?
MVASKS: WHERE IS YOUR HOMETOWN?
I was born in Bath and still consider that home, but I currently live in London.
MVASKS: WHAT IS ONE FUN FACT ABOUT YOURSELF?
I can lick my elbow. Honestly.
MVASKS: WHEN AND WHERE DID YOU FIRST GET SCOUTED?
At the clotheshow live i got scouted when I was around 9 or 10, but the scouts said I was too young. Then, I returned to the clotheshow live when I was 15 and got scouted by Select Models and signed the following week!
MVASKS: WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MODELLING MOMENT?
There have been so many. I loved shooting in Miami when I was 18, one of my first major trips away alone. And also, walking for Dolce & Gabanna in 2018 was a real dream-come-true moment.
MVASKS: WHY IS WELLBEING AND NATURAL LIVING SO IMPORTANT TO YOU?
The more I learn, the more I want to know. I first got into wellbeing when I moved to London to model full time and had to start really making my own choices when it came to food. I became passionate about nutrition and fitness and studied biology and diet and nutrition alongside modelling, whilst also doing loads of independent research.
I just became fascinated with how much information we are literally spoon fed that is completely untrue and inaccurate. It’s scary. For my wellbeing and natural living is important for me because I feel it is so empowering for us to take our health into our own hands. I just want to educate people in a more honest and realistic way to take control of their own lives and make decisions based on real facts.
I want everyone to feel better, and live better, and in terms of natural living, I want to inspire people to go beyond taking care of themselves and/or others and to take more care of the planet. In my opinion, natural living is the best and healthiest way for us to live, not only for ourselves but also for the earth.
MVASKS: TELL US ABOUT QNOLA, WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO CREATE YOUR BRAND AND WHAT IS THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME?
Qnola is my brand of quinoa granola products and other all-natural, vegan and gluten-free breakfast goods. I was inspired to create the brand when, after making it for myself, I began making it for my friends to take to them during fashion week – since we could never get truly healthy food backstage at shows. From there, the concept sort of just spread by word of mouth (before Instagram was a thing at all!).
I began to get orders from other models, and then as Instagram came up and people began using it more, people would post photos of the qnola and tag me in it. I began getting more and more emails from people wanting it, and then eventually a cafe approached me to supply them, so I decided to really dedicate all my spare time to it. I did a lot of research, registered my kitchen with the health & safety authorities, trademarked the name, got my insurance and then began developing a full range of flavours and eventually packaging. It snowballed from there, and my second stockist was Selfridges Food Hall. Madness.

MVASKS: HOW DO YOU MANAGE TO MAINTAIN YOUR BUSY MODELLING SCHEDULE ALONGSIDE YOUR BUSINESS?
Still working on it! Honestly, It’s a constant struggle and a work in progress. I make it work, most of the time, but also having a business means that you’re usually less available at the drop of a hat. Previously, I’d have been at my agent’s beck and call, but now its sometime harder to be flexible, as I’ll always have other things going on, like scheduled meetings, calls or just general stress with deliveries, couriers, production etc.
Most of the time, though, I have a flexible schedule and can organise my days any way I want to. I can leave admin for a few hours if I have a casting, or I can do admin for an hour or so if I’m shooting and have a long lunch break or lots of breaks and waiting around. I’m lucky in that both allow for some wiggle room.
But it is hard. It’s much easier to play the modelling game when you’re 100% in it and don’t have any other distractions. But on the other hand, it is nice to have other things to think about aside from modelling, to keep learning and evolving and just for variety, I guess. At the end of the day, I’ll always drop everything if a modelling job comes up, but day to day, I tend to make both work alongside each other. It just means incredibly long days and not much free time – hence I’m sending you these answers at midnight on a Monday evening.
MVASKS: HOW HAS INSTAGRAM HELPED TRANSFORM YOUR IDENTITY, AS BOTH A MODEL AND ENTREPRENEUR?
I do still struggle with this sometimes as, whilst I am known as an entrepreneur and author, I want to keep the modelling side of my career relevant too, as that is, ultimately, what started my journey into health and wellbeing in the first place. When i first used instagram it was mainly food-based, as Instagram was getting big around the same time I started my business. I used it for modeling too and it helped to connect with other models, brands etc, etc.
But it’s also given me a great platform for my blog and writing, as it acts almost as a window into the longer articles I have online. Its great for me as i am often short of time and get easily stressed out when posting things, so i like that instagram gives me the chance to just post a snippet of something and i can then direct those with more time or more interest to longer articles on my blog, other websites or my book.
As an entrepreneur, I also have a separate brand instagram account, and this has been great to really develop the brand for people who don’t necessary know me. It makes the brand seem more professional and accessible, and with all the business features now, it has helped us to really engage with customers, as well as hone in on our brand voice and philosophy.
MVASKS: WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE RECIPE TO ENJOY AFTER A WORKOUT?
I love to have a smoothie after a workout as it provides instant nourishment and I love to add adaptogens for extra energy and nutrients. You get a concentrated amount of nutrients from liquid foods, and it enters the body more easily, so I usually have a combination of fruits, vegetables and water or plant based milk, and loads of ice.
If I’ve worked out in the evening, my favourite recipe for an evening meal is something, again, simple, like salmon or chicken with sweet potato and greens, or a salad with sweet potato and egg. I try to keep it really stripped back and simple, post-workout.
MVASKS: HOW DO YOU STAY MOTIVATED?
Mostly, I stay motivated because I truly, truly love what I do. I can’t help being motivated, I just want to make more and more products, write more and more content and help or inspire more and more people. I love that what I do has had an impact on so many people, and I guess getting feedback or hearing from readers or followers is something that really helps to motivate me. I do often have days where I feel less motivated, sure.
These are usually admin days, or days when I have to power through challenging times of running my own business, and I’d always rather be on set shooting something way more creative and fun! But, it’s all relative. I’ve learnt that you really just need to work hard and accept that it can’t always be fun and games.
Having the business, I am constantly learning and evolving, and that’s something I didn’t always experience in the same way with modelling. So, I guess jus being able to see results of my own hard work is what motivates me to keep going on days when I just feel like the hill is to steep to climb. Also, friends and family. Having a support system around you is the greatest form of motivation!

“Having a massage is commonly seen to be an indulgent act of self-care; an expensive and quite frankly ‘extra’ luxury that only a fraction of us has the time and money to enjoy. It is very rarely seen as a necessary part of our wellbeing, and especially not a priority in our everyday rituals” 🤲🏻 read my recent article for @ecoage on the importance of massage and how to incorporate self-massage rituals into your daily routine for all kinds of mental and physical benefits (swipe up on my latest story to read)
MVASKS: WHERE DO YOU FIND INSPIRATION FOR YOUR BLOG POSTS?
More or less everywhere! Initially, when my blog was more food oriented, i found inspiration simply from the food i knew and loved. I would just find new ingredients and swap things around in the place of conventional ingredients to make up unique and truly healthy alternatives. I love doing that as I almost always manages to make something that tastes almost the same as its unhealthy counterpart, but that is much more nutritious.
Now that my blog is more holistic, covering all kinds of topics, from travel, beauty and style to rituals and mindfulness, my inspiration comes from all over the place.
Things like my own personal yoga practice and training, shiatsu and massage training, travel, retreats and other personal experiences have heavily influenced my content, as I have learned so much and just want to share it all. But it’s also influenced by thoughts I have, things I am faced with, people I meet, film, art, literature, fashion, charity, environmental studies and much more. I guess that’s why it’s so varied?!
MVASKS: WHAT IS ONE THING YOU WOULD LOVE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT THE QNOLA BRAND?
It’s delicious, you have to, have to try it!
MVASKS: WHAT IS YOUR LIFE MANTRA?
I have so many. Literally, I have a note on my laptop and a word document too filled with quotes I love or just thoughts I have from time to time. I live for quotes and quotes have saved me time and time again from giving up or just generally feeling low.
I’m a big believer that timing is everything, and also that everything happens for a reason. This has helped me not to be too pushy when it comes to business and to accept things if they don’t always go right.
Sometimes, things just aren’t meant to be, and I’ve enjoyed having a business more by accepting this, rather than pushing and forcing things that just aren’t meant to be. I think you can apply these to all aspects of life too, not just business. For me, its the same with modelling. timing is everything, everything happens for a reason, and sometimes things just aren’t meant to be.
MVASKS: WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVOURITE EXPERIENCE WITH MODEL VILLAGE AND WHY WOULD YOU ADVICE OTHER MODELS JOIN OUR COMMUNITY?
I have really enjoyed working with some incredible brands over the past few months, and I love the community of MV, THE regular events, fashion week get-togethers, and just connecting with like minded people in the industry. I love it and would really recommend other models check it out.
