A BIT ABOUT NICOLE:
HOW OLD ARE YOU?
WHERE IS YOUR HOMETOWN?
Cape Town, South-Africa
WHO IS YOUR MOTHER AGENCY?
FANJAM, CAPE TOWN.
WHAT IS ONE FUN FACT ABOUT YOURSELF?
I can speak 3 languages!
MV ASKS: WHEN AND WHERE DID YOU FIRST GET SCOUTED?
I was about 17 years old and I was scouted in a bank in South-Africa!
MV ASKS: WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MODELLING EXPERIENCE SO FAR AND WHY?
The satisfaction of making my wildest dreams come true! It’s an unexplainable, priceless feeling. When I was confirmed for Guess Worldwide, it really was an accomplishment and told me that hard work, really does pay off.
MV ASKS: WHAT ARE YOUR PRE-PHOTOSHOOT RITUALS?
- Going to be early,
- Not having a big meal the day before,
- Drinking a lot of water,
- Looking after my skin and ensuring I am constantly using moisturiser,
- Above all, self-love is important. This is the key ritual you need to remember in order to feel good in the skin you have.
MV ASKS: DESCRIBE YOUR IDEAL MODEL-OFF-DUTY LOOK?
Hmm, I am generally wearing gym clothes as I have just been doing a workout. When I am going to an event or evening out, I tend to focus mainly on accessories, investing in a good designer bad and a nice jacket can really make the difference to your look!
MV ASKS: WHAT WAS IT LIKE WORKING WITH GUESS & HOW DID YOU REACT WHEN FIRST SEEING THE WORLDWIDE CAMPAIGN?
It was a dream come true! I used to have the campaigns on my closet door as a young girl and used to print the cover on my school books, I always admired the models they worked with and the brand as a company.
When I got confirmed for Guess, I was honestly crying ALOT. For a girl coming from a small town, it meant a lot to be recognised by such an established brand whom I had admired for so long. Then, when I saw the pictures, it was even more emotional for me, but I was also so happy as now I had confirmed my biggest modelling goal.
MV ASKS: DO YOU HAVE ANY SKILLS OR HOBBIES OUTSIDE OF MODELLING?
If I wasn’t working full time, I would love to pursue acting!
MV ASKS: WHAT HAS BEEN THE CRAZIEST THING YOU HAVE EVER HAD TO DO DURING A SHOOT?
I once got confirmed for a lingerie brand which was amazing, but the location was in the French Alps, so it was seriously cold!
MV ASKS: WHAT WAS IT LIKE BEING ON THE COVER OF HARPERS BAZAAR BEAUTY?
Insane. It was also a goal of mine from an editorial perspective, which I always wanted to achieve. It was amazing also because I have a huge passion for skincare and loved that it was for Bazaar Beauty!
I love setting goals for myself as I believe this helps positively challenge you to ensure you truly take advantage of your career and live life to your best!
MV ASKS: WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO JOIN MODEL VILLAGE AND WHY WOULD YOU ADVICE OTHER MODELS ALSO JOIN OUR COMMUNITY?
I think it’s a great opportunity to meet new, wonderful people and also help you grow as a model. I love learning new things and discovering them through Model Village. I am so happy currently answering these questions for the blog and want to thank Model Village for the opportunity it gives me.
